Perbandingan Pengecatan Hematoxylin & Eosin (HE) dan Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) pada Mucormycosis

Mucormycosis adalah infeksi yang jarang terjadi, tetapi sering terjadi pada kelompok yang memiliki masalah immunitas yang rendah. Pada mereka dengan sistem immunitas rendah apabila spora dari mucor masuk kedalam tubuh maka tubuh tidak bisa melawan infeksi dengan maksimal. Keberhasilan pengobatan utuk kasus Mucormycosis juga bergantung pada diagnosa secara dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengecatan HE dan PAS pada spesimen jaringan pada blok paraffin. Dari hasil pengecatan didapatkan hasil yang lebih baik pada pengecatan PAS.
