Perbandingan Pewarnaan Haematoxylin & Eosin (HE) dan Gomori Methenamine Silver (GMS) pada Jamur Subcutan dan Jamur Zygomycosis
Keywords:
HE Staining, GMS Staining, Subcutan fungal, Zygomycosis fungiAbstract
Further study of Subcutan fungi and Zygomycosis fungi by comparing the staining between Haematoxylin & Eosin (HE) and Gomori Methenamine Silver (GMS). Between the two stains, it will be found which color gives the better results. The materials used were GMS staining, HE staining and also fungal tissue specimens in paraffin blocks. The results obtained were in HE staining resulted in 3 fungi (75%) quite clear, namely Mycetoma fungus, Mucormycosis fungus and Rhinosporidium seeberi and 1 fungus (25%) which is Lobomycosis fungus was less clear and GMS staining obtained 4 fungi (100 %) is very clear. So in conclusion, GMS staining is better than HE staining for both Subcutaneous and Zygomycosis fungi.
