Perbandingan pewarnaan pada Pneumocystis jirovecii

Pneumocystis pneumonia adalah infeksi oportunistik yang paling sering terjadi pada pasien yang terinfeksi human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Jumlah pasien yang menerima pengobatan imunosupresif kronis atau yang memiliki sistem kekebalan yang berubah dan dengan demikian berisiko terkena pneumocystis pneumonia meningkat pesat. Dikarenakan tidak dapat dikultur oleh karena itu menjadikan pemeriksaan secara mikroskopik menjadi penting untuk mendiagnosa Pneumocystis jirovecii. Dari hasil yang didapatkan setelah dilakukan penelitian memperlihatkan hasil yang sangat jelas pada 2 (dua) pewarnaan.
