Abstract

Infeksi jamur masih menjadi masalah kesehatan terutama pada negara tropis, jamur yang menyerang manusia dapat dikategorikan sebagai jamur primer dan jamur oportunistik, infeksi jamur primer terjadi pada individu sehat sedangkan jamur oportunistik terjadi pada individu dengan immunocompromised. Untuk menghindari terjadinya infeksi yang fatal maka diperlukan diagnosis dini namun metode diagnostik konvensional seperti kultur bersifat tidak sensitif dan efisien sehingga diperlukan diagnosis lain seperti histopatologi yang memberikan diagnosis pasti. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya histopatologi dalam mendeteksi jamur dalam jaringan.
