Perbandingan KOH Tinta Parker dan KOH Chicago Sky Blue

Abstract

Pemeriksaan kerokan kulit menggunakan sediaan basah KOH merupakan metode yang telah lama digunakan namun kelemahan pemeriksaan ini adalah diperlukan keahlian pada pembacanya dikarenakan hasil yang dihasilkan dari pemeriksaan ini tidak memberikan kontras warna. Spesimen kerokan kulit didapatkan dari pasien yang telah mendapatkan diagnosa dermatophytosis. Spesimen kulit kemudian diperiksa dengan menggunakan sediaan basah KOH yang ditambahkan pewarna tinta Parker pada satu kaca objek dan kaca objek yang lain diberi pewarna Chicago Sky Blue 6B 1%. Didapatkan 10 (sepuluh) hasil negatif dan 7 (tujuh) hasil positif dengan KOH-tinta Parker, sedangkan pada KOH-CSB didapatkan 8 (delapan) hasil negatif dan 9 (sembilan) hasil positif. KOH-Chicago Sky Blue memberikan hasil yang lebih baik daripada KOH-tinta Parker.
